DPDP
Best DPDP Act Compliance Consultants in India (2026): 6 Firms Compared

How we compared these firms
We looked at what each firm publicly says about:
- The DPDP services it offers (readiness, implementation, audit support or assessment)
- Who issues the final certificate or report
- The other frameworks it supports
- Where it is based and who it serves
- Anything distinctive it publishes, such as pricing, accreditations or specialisms
We don't rank the firms by score. The right choice depends on your scope, industry, budget and what your customers ask for.

Where CyberWave GRC fits
We're a good fit if DPDP is one of several obligations you're managing. If you already have ISO 27001, SOC 2 or ISO 27701, or plan to, we build DPDP on the same controls and evidence so your team does the work once. We also provide DPO as a service. For a pure legal opinion or contract-heavy work, a law firm may suit you better, and we're happy to work alongside your counsel.
How to choose
- Do you mainly need legal interpretation, technical delivery, or both?
- Will the firm map your personal data flows, or only write policies?
- Can it reuse your existing ISO 27001, SOC 2 or ISO 27701 controls?
- Does it offer DPO support after go-live?
- Has it worked in your sector (BFSI, health, edtech, SaaS)?
- Is the fee fixed, and what exactly is included?
- Who will you actually work with week to week?
Frequently asked questions
The DPDP Rules 2025 phase in over 18 months. Consent manager provisions apply first, and most obligations for data fiduciaries apply from May 2027. See our DPDP compliance checklist.
Often both. Lawyers handle legal interpretation, notices and contracts. Compliance consultants handle data mapping, consent operations, security safeguards, breach response and evidence. Some companies use a consultant for delivery and their own counsel for sign-off.
No. There is no official DPDP certificate. Compliance is shown through your records, processes and controls. Some firms offer audits or assessments, but these are not government certification.
The DPDP Act requires a DPO for Significant Data Fiduciaries. Other organisations still need a contact person for data principal queries. Many appoint a DPO or use DPO as a service anyway. See data fiduciary obligations.
Yes. Many DPDP security and privacy requirements overlap with ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 controls, so an existing management system gives you a strong head start.
